The Mountain Lake Property Owners' Association (MLPOA) unites all property owners on Mountain Lake for the purpose of dealing with governments at all levels, public agencies and local organizations; the Association advocates for environmental protection, preservation and stewardship at our cherished lake community and in Minden Hills; it promotes respect, cooperation and fellowship among members to ensure a safe, peaceful and secure waterfront community.

Mountain Lake is classified by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) as an "at capacity" coldwater lake. It is situated half way between the equator and the north pole.
